Andrea is a Mexican production designer based in Switzerland. She has a diploma in landscape architecture from UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico, 2014) and a master’s degree in the Design of Ephemeral Spaces from ELISAVA in Barcelona (2015). Since 2015, she has worked mainly as a set and production designer for theater and film.

Since 2019, she has focused on theatre and art installations in Europe. She loves turning ideas into concepts and designs, exploring how materials work together and making construction more efficient. She has worked with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Coca-Cola, E! Entertainment and Staatstheater Mainz, among others.

Her work starts from one belief: a space should work for everyone in it. She designs with accessibility in mind and thinks about the experience of both the performers on stage and the audience watching. The set has to be safe and free to move in for the performers, and clear and immersive for the audience.
